Viva IV Therapy was born from a critical care physician's refusal to accept the status quo — long waits, high costs, and impersonal care. We built something better.
The goal of Viva IV Therapy is to help people. That is our #1 priority.— Dr. Jerome J. Cordova, M.D., Founder
Every treatment protocol is physician-developed and medically supervised — not wellness guesswork.
Licensed registered nurses administer every IV and injection — not medical assistants or unlicensed staff.
No weeks-long waits. Walk in or book same-day and feel better before you leave — often within an hour.
Treatments that cost thousands at the ER — available here for a fraction of the price, without the wait.
Dr. Jerome J. Cordova grew up in Truchas, New Mexico — a small mountain town that would shape his understanding of what it means to lack access to quality healthcare. He excelled early, earning a chemical engineering degree from the University of New Mexico on a full scholarship, then pursued a Masters in biomedical engineering before completing medical school at UNM.
After residency, he joined Indiana Heart Physicians as a cardiology hospitalist and spent seven years in emergency medicine. Every shift confirmed what he already knew: the system was failing patients on simple, treatable conditions — while charging them for it.
In 2016, while working emergency medicine, Dr. Cordova noticed three things happening simultaneously. Urgent cares lacked IV therapy capabilities for common presentations. Emergency rooms had crushing wait times and excessive costs for simple problems. And a growing wave of IV "wellness bars" were offering naturopathic treatments with no real clinical evidence behind them.
None of it was good enough. So he created something new: a physician-owned clinic with the clinical rigor of a hospital, the speed of an urgent care, the comfort of a luxury spa, and the pricing that actually made sense.
Viva IV Therapy opened in Old Town Scottsdale in 2017. The mission was clear — bring comprehensive, doctor-directed medical care to people who need relief today, not next week.
While working ER shifts in Indianapolis, Dr. Cordova identifies the gap in accessible IV-based care and begins designing Viva IV Therapy.
Dr. Cordova launches the clinic in Old Town Scottsdale, AZ — offering IV therapy, medications, and virtual urgent care under physician supervision.
Dr. Cordova creates SameDay Covid Test to fill another critical healthcare gap during the global pandemic — rapid, accessible COVID testing when it was desperately needed.
Dr. Cordova continues as Medical Director for Viva IV Therapy, New Youth Aesthetics, and Timeless Injections — while practicing critical care in Arizona.
